The British GT Championship will line-up this weekend (May 18/19) at Snetterton for the second round of the 2019 season. Taking place after the season opener at Oulton Park, the East Anglia venue will test the team and drivers with its challenging layout featuring fast straights and a mixture of long and short corners on what was once RAF Snetterton Heath.
After a tough season opener, Shaun Balfe and McLaren Factory Driver Rob Bell will return with the 720S GT3 after positive testing at the 2.9-mile circuit two weeks ago. The 570S GT4 will be piloted by two-time Pro-Am title winner Graham Johnson who, along with his teammate and McLaren Driver Development Programme member Michael O’Brien, claimed two superb podiums and the race two Pro-Am victory in Cheshire.
Another packed weekend kicks off on Saturday May 18 with both free practice sessions taking place in the morning before qualifying actions gets underway from 15:50 BST. The first of the two one-hour contests will begin at 11:10 BST ahead of the second race closing the weekend at 15:25.
As usual the SRO YouTube channel, GT World will broadcast sessions live, starting with qualifying through to both races, while the Balfe Motorsport social media channels will keep fans engaged with behind-the-scenes action across the weekend.
