After suffering heartbreak at Silverstone last time out, Grantham-based Balfe Motorsport returns to the British GT Championship for its home race at Donington Park this weekend (June 22/23).
Shaun Balfe and Rob Bell will return with the McLaren 720S GT3 for the fourth round of the season after battling for the victory in the three-hour, 500km event at the home of British motorsport.
The first of two 570S GT4 machines will have two-time Pro-Am title winner Graham Johnson at the wheel along with his teammate Michael O’Brien. The second once again will be piloted by Pure McLaren GT Series Champion Mia Flewitt and series runner-up Stewart Proctor, who have high hopes having made great progress at Silverstone.
The team will take to the track for the first time on Saturday June 22nd with two free practice sessions before qualifying at 15:35. Lights out for the two-hour contest will be on Sunday June 23rd at 13:10.
As always, live coverage of the race can be found on SRO’s YouTube channel, GT World, while the Balfe Motorsport social media channels will keep fans engaged with behind-the-scenes action across the weekend.
