Balfe Motorsport continues Pure McLaren GT Series link with two car GT Cup entry

Balfe Motorsport is delighted to continue its strong association with McLaren as it enters two 570S GT4 machines in the GT Cup Championship on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit this weekend (August 17/18).

The team will once again be entering cars for Pure McLaren GT Series competitors, which includes Nick Moss who has two Bruce McLaren Cup category victories at Spa-Francorchamps and the Hungaroring this season, also finishing second overall in Hungary.

The Pure McLaren GT Series provides McLaren owners who have extensive track driving experience the opportunity to take their first steps into racing within a controlled and familiar environment. Drivers are supported by a team of experts and can relax in luxury hotels while enjoying a five-star McLaren Dining Experience.

The relationship between both the team and the Series continues after 2018 champion Mia Flewitt and race winner Stewart Proctor competed alongside the team’s two full-season McLaren machines in several British GT Championship rounds this season.

With a rich history as a McLaren Customer Racing outfit, Grantham-based Balfe Motorsport has taken race wins and championship titles with a variety of the British manufacturers’ cars in the British GT Championship and GT Open.

“We are looking forward to working with both drivers this weekend at Silverstone,” said Shaun Balfe. “The Pure McLaren GT Series is a fantastic way for individuals to start competing in a 570S GT4 and it is no surprise that drivers are looking to progress into multi-class racing.

“It was fantastic having Mia and Stewart under the Balfe Motorsport banner at Silverstone, Donington Park, and Spa-Francorchamps in the British GT Championship, and we look forward to working not only with Nick this weekend, but other competitors in the future.”
