The Balfe Motosport team returns to UK motorsport this year with a
new car and new driver line-up, to tackle the brand new Vdev UK endurance series.

The team will run a Norma M20F chassis in the series, driven by Shaun Balfe and Adam Derbyshire, the brother of Shaun’s former British and FIA GT team-mate, Jamie.

The season will see the team head to classic UK circuits like Silverstone and Brands Hatch, as well as taking in the newly developed Anglesey circuit in Wales, amongst a 20 plus car field. There will also be the opportunity to race in one or two of the high profile European events over the course of the season too.

The VdeV cars are slightly smaller, but look similar to the prototypes which race at Le Mans and are also incredibly quick, with the top machines reaching 150mph on some of the longer circuits and with impressive aerodynamics and downforce, it will certainly be fast and close racing.

The Two-litre Honda engined Norma chassis was the fastest machine in the European championship last year, taking pole position and a handful of race victories over the course of the season. The Balfe team hopes to carry on that pace in the UK, especially with Shaun Balfe finally getting behind the wheel of a car he raced against in 2007.
